Travel from Brisbane to New Zealand (Aotearoa), where you’ll train and compete. You’ll have the chance to enjoy Auckland city with a full day of exploring before departing home on the last day. Once in Rotorua, you’ll take part in a Maori cultural experience including buffet dinner, enjoy a tranquil Gondola ride up Mt Ngongotaha overlooking Lake Rotorua before winding your way down via the Luge. Relax and spend an afternoon soaking in New Zealand’s most unique and active geothermal reserve and mud spa. On your way back to Auckland you will visit the Hobbiton Movie Set, location used for the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, taking in breathtaking scenery on your bus journey back to Auckland before heading home to Brisbane.

Skyline Luge has three tracks of differing skill levels winding through beautiful forest. Ride the Skyline Gondola to the top complex to begin your Luge adventure. NOTE |Hells Gate Mud Bath is very strong with Sulphur .Please do not wear expensive swimwear as the smell will stay on your clothes. We recommend you not to wash with other clothes otherwise the sulphur smell will go through all your clothes. There is an option to hire swimwear. Yes swim suits, shorts and towels can be hired at reception for $5.00 per item. These items are commercially laundered after each use. For those clients who are traveling on the day of arrival the hiring of these items is a good idea to save having to travel with wet items in your car.
Opposite the Motel is a great fish & chip shop, bakeries and shop. You can buy something from here or the group can use the BBQ facilities on-site.

About Cleveland Thermal Motel
Location | The Cleveland Thermal Motel is located in Rotorua, New Zealand. It is situated on 2 hectares of ground which features lawns and a surrounding garden. The motel is 1.6km from the Rotorua City Centre, 500 m from the stunning Lake Rotorua, a 29-minute drive from Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, a 12-minute drive from Whakarewarewa Thermal Village, and 5-minute drive from the Polynesian Spa Thermal Hot Pools.
Eating | The Accommodation does not have a restaurant or bar on site but there are BBQ facilities and a shared kitchen available to use whilst staying at the hotel.

Accommodation features |all linen and towel are supplied, free wi-fi, shared kitchen, water sports facilities on site, BBQ facilities, sun deck, outdoor furniture, picnic area, playground, free private parking, daily housekeeping, hot spring bath, spa, outdoor swimming pool. Ironing, dry cleaning and laundry are all additional charge and guests are required to bring their own pool towels.
Hotel policy | Please be mindful of make-up and tanning in rooms. A cleaning fee will be charged for any stains in room. Free use of the outdoor heated swimming pool & private geothermal mineral pools. Guests must bring their own pool towels. Between 9:30pm and 8:30 am guests should be aware there is a no noise and no party’s policy. There is a requirement in the pool area to act accordingly more specifically no bombs or horseplay in the swimming pool. The accommodation also requires guests to not consume alcohol outside of their rooms. This is for both during the day and at night. Towels that are found in the model rooms should also not be used for the pool area.
