Extension of Trip: All requests have already been confirmed with Qantas. Please still fill out the form on this page so we can double check everyone’s original request or action any new requests.
Please look at:
Official site for Tourism New Zealand (newzealand.com)
3-7 days itineraries (newzealand.com)
Let me know what interests you and we can organise car hire, internal flights etc. We would recommend holding off paying anything extra until we are within 45 days of departure. As currently, it is complex with everything going on at the moment with changes happening rapidly. What we can do in the meantime is plan out an itinerary and book your return flights from New Zealand to Australia
Travel Insurance: The two reasons we have held off from issuing the travel insurance are:
Non-refundable after the cooling-off period
We wanted to make sure we had the best coverage and cover all the FAQ’s
Cancellation of Trip: Qantas has advised they will refund if they cancel the trip (cancelled due to border closures). Hotels have been paid a deposit, this will be held in credit for up to 12 months as a group credit.
Cancelling your spot on the trip may be claimable on travel insurance or we may have an athlete/spectator who can take your spot otherwise a $290 non-refundable fees apply per person
Once we make final payments to suppliers (45days prior), the supplier conditions will apply.

CAN I CANCEL OR MAKE A CLAIM ON MY POLICY?
There are multiple situations in which travel insurance will pay out on a policy for a trip you can no longer go on. Please refer to the PDS or call the Insurance provider.

Some scenarios that are not covered:
Changing of mind
Travel documents (like visas and passports) don’t arrive in time for the trip and therefore prevent you from going on the trip
If the Australian Government has issued a warning against travelling to a certain region (refer www.smartraveller.gov.au) and you choose to go there anyway, you will not be able to make a travel insurance claim.
Not keeping your belongings safe or reporting items to police. You need to make sure you keep belongings with you at all times and when you can’t, make sure they are somewhere safe – for example, in a safe in the hotel room.
Keeping existing medical conditions to yourself - Diabetes, an injury, asthma, high blood pressure, a heart condition – these are just some of the things that are considered to be pre-existing medical conditions. While not all insurers will neglect to insure on the basis of a pre-existing medical condition, nearly all insurers will neglect to pay out on a claim relating to a pre-existing medical condition of which you failed to notify
Trip-planning can be more complicated during this time, but staying informed is key.
